Julian Opie uses line drawings with block colours. I used his technique of line drawing to line draw over a photo of fruit using photoshop. I then concentrated on the use of colour he uses and noticed that he doesn't have shading in pictures and uses the line to translate what you are able the picture , being people, to look like in life. His work has been used in many way especially in the music industry with a very successful album by Blur using him to design it. By the theme of my course being produce I found that his work may be able to influence me during the course to produce eye catching, meaningful yet simple art pieces.
