Fishy
Here is a current idea I am working on. It is a screen shot of me using Adobe Illustrator by using the transparency tool and layering effect. The image is of a stick and ink drawing i have done and scanned in. I hope to achieve a collage effect by the end of the session.

Influence numero something!

On this screen shot you can see that I have added a layer of just a blocked colour rectangle. I did this to erase the hair strands to the correct size of my picture. I did the hair strands in separate layers to create the three dimension feel to it by being able to layer the high, the mids and the dark tones to the hair.

Ive added the scales to the piece and i am now just highlighting and low lighting the areas of the woman's face to create a realistic effect.

Ostrocodding it!
I decided to do a vector drawing based on the deap sea creature Ostrocod. I found this type of fhish quite amusing as it hasn't developed much more of a natural instinct than to carry its young within its body and bob about the ocean. I doesnt swim as it lacks in the features needed to swim efficiently like a fish. Its quite a naturally translucent fish so using the translucency tool on Illustrator was only more than appropriate.
I used the blob tool in order to create some layering underneath the blocked colour body and to give it some dimensions.I find the final image to be of some amusement as they arent able to really control where they go.

Andrew Bannecker Inspiration Attempt One!
Here are some images alongside the final of what I have produced on Adobe illustrator. It is an Andrew Bannecker inspired fish. The inspiration from him has been used in the transparency element of the final image alongside the use of colours he uses during his pieces with my own little twist. He uses block colours and little details so I have attempted to duplicate this but as I enjoy looking at images with finer detail qualities to them so I have added more to make it more mine. The Background used I feel creates an airy atmosphere for the fish with the bubbles. The bubbles I believe create a very 2D look to it but then by using the transparency tool on Illustrator has added a more 3D effect. As you can see i have added JPEG format images of the stages I was going through and print screens showing the different layers that were involved in the process as well.
